Safe drinking water" for children - Craftsman's small commitment
Can you drink tap water?
The other day, on a whim, I asked my son about the drinking water provided to the children at the licensed daycare center he attends.
The answer was "tap water".
Of course, tap water in Japan meets safety standards and is basically drinkable as is.
Even so, I drink water at home through an under-sink water purifier called a " Trevino Branch".
This is because I want the water to taste, smell, and above all, "be safe for my family to drink.
The same thought applies to Craftsman After School.
At Craftsman After School, we provide purified water through Trevino Branches to both the children and our employees.
This is not a "little luxury," but rather our policy: "It's what goes into our bodies every day", so we want to choose it properly.
Water is one of the most familiar "food" in a place like a school where children spend a lot of time.
Because it is something that is consumed more frequently than juice or snacks, we believe that paying attention to it will lead to a "safe environment.
Of course, children may not be aware of this.
But we want parents to know.
Craftsman is not only about programs and curriculum,
We are also concerned about "invisible security.
For example, we use CLOROX Pine Sol, not just for water, but for cleaning solutions for floors, shelves, and toilets. For washing dishes and other cleaning, environmentally friendly detergents are chosen, and tables are regularly cleaned with alcohol.
Air circulation and humidity are also carefully controlled by HomePod sensors.
We believe that each and every one of these steps creates a "comfortable and safe space" for the children.
As a parent, I want to create an environment that I want to choose.
Actually, there is a follow-up to this story. When I talked to my wife about the fact that the drinking water provided at the day-care center was tap water, she said, "Well, I don't think I want that much from a day-care center....
That's ok, I'm the one who decided to protect my family's health...
But that doesn't mean we can't offer other people's children what we "don't want" our own children to drink.
That is why at Craftsman Afterschool, we continue to review our daily operations, keeping in mind the perspective of the parents. I believe this is another perspective that we are able to notice because our leadership team and management team are on site.
Even a single glass of water shows our attitude there.
