Japanese Calligraphy Class
After School to Prepare the Mind and Cultivate Beautiful Calligraphy
Craftsman After School offers authentic calligraphy classes twice a month with outside instructors. (Hard brush calligraphy will begin soon).
Time spent quietly facing letters with a brush is a valuable experience for children to develop their concentration and self-control (non-cognitive skills). They can also aim for promotion to a higher grade or a higher rank.
A precious time to face oneself
Children will naturally learn how to hold a brush correctly, develop good posture, and become aware of the importance of writing beautiful letters, and they will begin to change their minds to "write carefully" in their daily lives. Above all, the feeling of "My handwriting is getting better! This will lead to a sense of self-affirmation.

Introduction
Studied under Hakko(Hiromitsu) Ishitobi, one of Japan's leading calligraphers, and is still an active calligrapher who continues to produce numerous works.
She has been involved in teaching calligraphy for many years at "Kodomo no Mori Kitayamata" and "Step One," the predecessors of Craftsman Afterschool, and has watched many children grow up.
What we value
While carefully teaching from the basics, I value the expressiveness and sensitivity of each child and convey the joy of "self-expression" through calligraphy.
Brief personal history

- Examination member of Sogen Shodokai
- Board member of "Shodo Nippon," a Japanese calligraphy magazine
