Is programming really necessary for elementary school children? Isn't it too early for my child?
We often hear such questions from parents and guardians. Programming may sound difficult, but in fact it is such an important skill that it has been called "the reading, writing, and abacus of the future.
As many of you may have heard, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) has been promoting the compulsory training of elementary school students, and "the ability to think for oneself and act in an orderly fashion" is required in the coming age.
